Senex: Western Surat wells cased and suspended as future producers By Martin Kovacs, 5 Jul 2017

Senex Energy has advised that the first two appraisal wells completed of its 30-well Western Surat gas project phase 2 drilling campaign in the Queensland Surat Basin, Eos-5 and Eos-3 in ATP 795, have been cased and suspended as future CSG producers.

Senex stated that drilling will continue at the Eos block throughout July, with completed wells to “be connected into the gathering systems in pods, in parallel with the ongoing drilling and completions program”.

During June, construction of water and gas handling infrastructure progressed “including: upgrading of an existing dam on the Eos block to current standards; installation of underground pipelines, and gas and water custody transfer metering skids; and installation of an underground gas and water gathering network, approximately 36 km long”, Senex advised.
